Our Intro to Marxism program is a political education, organizer training, and mentorship program. Participants will discuss foundational Marxists texts and R&R articles in dynamic small group settings, and learn alongside R&R members and participants from chapters across the country! Our Intro to Marxism program is how we recruit new members of R&R, but you don't need to be decided on joining to participate. Here's how it works...
- Sign up for the program using the form on the right!
- Then, an R&R organizer will reach out to you for an introductory conversation to get you oriented.
- Start discussions!
- Our program will feature discussions from this curriculum. Once you complete your introductory conversation, you'll then do a 1-1 discussion on Week 1.
- After that, you'll be able to participate in rolling discussions at a pace that works best for you! There will be several discussions available every week (each one with a corresponding set of readings) and you can attend them at a frequency that works with your schedule (ex: one discussion every other week, two discussions a week, etc).
- Learn more about R&R!
- As you get going with discussions, you'll be added to our caucus Discord, invited to our organizer trainings and other caucus events, and connected to our members in your area and across DSA. From this, you'll learn more about the caucus and decide if R&R is a good fit for you.
- Become a member!
- Our facilitators will get to know you over the course of discussions and 1-1 conversations, and will be able to answer questions you have about joining! We recruit based on political agreement and alignment on the implementation of Marxist ideas in practice in DSA.
